چکیده
The paper offers a mutliscalar appreciation of vernacular cosmopolitanism as changing across space, time, and networks relations. Drawing on observations from the UK Greece, I argue for an expanded understanding to incorporate everyday appreciations multiculturalism, tolerance, social liberalism that are produced within specific socio-historical contexts. Proposing theory ‘timespace’ where epochs structured by potential relations, affects, bureaucracies, prevailing ideologies guide individual collective actions, is no longer prominent worldview in Western democracies. Freedoms fully realise cosmopolitan ideals intimately entwined with structures affects timespace, which gives momentum to, provides guidance, inherently opens closes doors types life can be pursued. In current affective present people vastly different projects, recommended paths, futures aspire to. With sharp turn right post-truth age, has receded at grassroots level. thus propose under attack epochal change alternate worldviews.
